Kayla Neja, Erika Henry and Aaron Horton have all been hired by the Rogers office of Rockfish, a marketing and advertising firm in Little Rock. As a senior accountant, Neja will work with the firm’s finance team to assist with everyday accounting measures. As a business analyst, Henry will develop business process models and necessary documentation for digital marketing initiatives. As a senior designer, Horton will create visual and technological solutions for clients.
Jeff Hanks has been hired by Team SI, a digital marketing firm in Little Rock focused on automotive, health care, agriculture and education marketing, as the firm’s director of sales. In his new position, Hanks will take responsibility for managing and increasing the firm’s network of sales representatives and distributors.
Education
Kevin Kehl, formerly the director of first-year experience and academic resources, has been promoted to dean of the Center for Student Success at Harding University in Searcy. Kehl is succeeding Todd Patten, who will return to a full-time faculty position in the Cannon-Clary College of Education’s professional counseling program.
Keith Olsen has been named dean of the College of Pharmacy at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and will take office before Nov. 1. Olsen will succeed Stephanie Gardner, who became the university’s provost and chief academic officer last month. Since 2007, Olsen has served as chairman of the department of pharmacy practice at the University of Nebraska Medical Center’s College of Pharmacy in Omaha.
Nonprofits
Joyjit Deb Roy has been named senior director of the Agriculture & Enterprise Group of Winrock International, a nonprofit established by Winthrop A. Rockefeller serving disadvantaged people and areas across the globe. Deb Roy was previously managing director for project management at ACDI/VOCA, an international nonprofit that works toward economic development among rising democracies.
Jean Block, Gertrude Clark, Herren Hickingbotham, Rex Kyle, Don Marshall, Sharon Priest, Natalie Rockefeller and Dr. Ricardo Sotomora have all been appointed to the Arkansas Repertory Theatre’s 2015-16 board of directors. Catherine Hughes is chairwoman of the board; Brian Bush is chair-elect; Kirk Bradshaw, vice chair; Abtin Mehdizadegan, secretary; and Cindy Boyle, treasurer. Price Gardner, Carl Monroe and John Peace will be returning to the board for a second term.
Government
Troy Keeping has been appointed by Gov. Asa Hutchinson to the Arkansas Career Education & Workforce Development Board. Keeping, the general manager and president of Southland Park Gaming & Racing in West Memphis, was sworn in last month by Crittenden County District Court Judge Fred Thorn.
Health Care
Dr. Simon Mears, a professor in the Department of Orthopaedics at the College of Medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, will now see patients at the university’s Orthopaedic Clinic at 2 Shackleford West Blvd. Mears, a hip and knee surgeon, comes to Arkansas from the Total Joint Center at Baylor Regional Medical Center in Plano, Texas.
