Fayetteville’s Startup Junkie Consulting is hosting its second InnovateHER competition.
InnovateHER is a program of the U.S. Small Business Administration that focuses on developing innovative ideas that could affect and empower the lives of women and families. The program launched earlier this year, and Startup Junkie hosted a regional competition.
Regional contests for the 2016 competition begin this fall. Ten regional winners will advance to Washington where they will be eligible for prizes totaling $70,000.
Regional winners are chosen based on the following criteria: measurable impact on the lives of women and families, the potential for commercialization and market need. Those interested in participating should submit a business plan and completed application packet by Oct. 30 to Startup Junkie via email at haley@startupjunkieconsulting.com.
Application packets are available here, and assistance with writing a business plan is available here.
The 2.7.0 program includes 11 Arkansas startups focused on the regional industry clusters of retail, supply chain/logistics and food industries. Startup Junkie was one of 80 organizations from across the U.S. selected to launch an accelerator as part of the SBA’s 2015 Growth Accelerator Fund.
