Startup Junkie Consulting of Fayetteville has selected 14 startups to participate in the inaugural ScaleUp Ozarks, the regional component to the Small Business Administration’s ScaleUp America Initiative that it is administering.
The federal initiative is designed to help small firms with high potential “scale up” and grow their businesses with a focus on women, minority and veteran entrepreneurs. Startup Junkie was among a handful of organizations from across the country selected to host a regional cohort.
Each startup will participate in a 16-week intensive program and receive entrepreneurship educational curriculum, management assistance and support services, mentorship, increased access to capital and networking opportunities.
The ScaleUp Ozarks kickoff event will be held Nov. 11 at the Hayseed Ventures lecture series in Fayetteville.
Plans call for two ScaleUp Ozarks cohorts per year for a potential five years. Funding is provided by the SBA and is free to participants.
