Central Flying Service Inc. of Little Rock on Monday named Susan Holbert president and COO.
She has been the CFO for 14 years.
“During that time, she has performed her duties with excellence and dispatch,” the company said in a news release. “From her position, she has gained a wealth of knowledge and experience about the industry, as well as the company.”
President and CEO Richard Holbert will become chairman of the board and continue as CEO, the company said.
The moves come less than two months after the death of Holbert’s brother, Donald L. Holbert, who was the company’s chairman and CEO.
A fixed-base operator at Adams Field in Little Rock, Central Flying Service was founded in 1939 by Claud Holbert and Edward Garbacz. Donald and Richard took control of the business in 1976 after their father retired.
Susan Holbert is married to Steve Holbert, Donald Holbert’s son.
The company marked its 75th anniversary in 2014. It has more than 550,000 SF of hangar space in 21 buildings on 77 acres.
