The average employee contribution to the premium for family coverage for employer-based health insurance in Arkansas was $3,609 in 2014, according to the Kaiser Family Foundation. That put Arkansas at No. 48 among the 50 states and the District of Columbia.
The average employee contribution for family coverage ranged from a high of $5,344 in Texas to $3,227 in Hawaii in 2014.
