1 min read

Window Mart of Royal (Garland County) plans to expand its existing facility at 5760 Albert Pike Road with a $6.5 million investment over the next two to three years.

The company said Thursday that it has begun work on the expansion and modernization of its manufacturing plant and plans to have the project complete within a three-year time frame.

The Arkansas Economic Development Commission said it approved the company for a sales and use tax credit to help with the expansion.

“Companies like Window Mart that call Arkansas home are what make our local economy thrive,” Megan Greeson of the Hot Springs Metro Partnership said in a news release. “It is important that we continue to support the growth of our existing industry ensuring long-term success.”

Window Mart plans to purchase and install four multiprocessing saw systems, two industrial welding systems, new air conditioning units, and new equipment and tooling for its vinyl door and window lines.

Window Mart said that since 2012, it has created more than 140 new jobs and now has more than 300 employees.

“Working with the Arkansas Economic Development Commission and the Invest Arkansas Incentive, we are excited to announce our commitment to reinvest in Royal, Arkansas with continuing expansion of our manufacturing facilities and new state of the art equipment helping us continue to grow as one of Garland County’s leading employers,” Window Mart President Robert Tankersley said.
