2 min read

Henderson State University has named Marc Miller, executive director of economic development and professor of technology management at the Hull College of Business at Augusta University in Augusta, Georgia, as its new dean of the School of Business.

He will move to Arkadelphia this summer and will join the School of Business full time in July.

“Dr. Miller will be a wonderful asset to the School of Business and our university,” Henderson State President Glen Jones said in a news release. “His enthusiasm for preparing students well to make contributions to their careers, companies and communities echoes our own faculty members’ dedication to student success and achievement.”

Miller has previously served as dean of the College of Business at Augusta and professor and chair of the Department of Management & Business Systems at State University of West Georgia.

“The fact that Henderson State is a COPLAC [Council of Public Liberal Arts Colleges] school was a great attractor,” Miller said. “I appreciate the high level of rigor for students and expectation for faculty and staff. The university provides a strong educational background for students and prepares them to be successes in their careers and communities and delivers this education at a great value for parents.”

Miller graduated from Augusta College with his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business administration and is currently enrolled at Augusta University in the Master of Public Health program. He received his doctorate in information systems management from Auburn University.
