Word came over the transom that Sissy’s Log Cabin, the jewelry company with stores in Pine Bluff, Little Rock, Jonesboro and Memphis, had switched its advertising contract from Albright Ideas to Stone Ward.
Confirmation came from Millie Ward herself, the Stone Ward president, who was in Dallas for a meeting of the board of Bridge 2 Rwanda, a nonprofit scholarship program that she promotes.
“I can confirm we have signed a contract, and that we’re happy about that,” Ward told Whispers. “This is basically a transition time with Sissy’s Log Cabin, and we’ll have a formal announcement later.”
Ward said her firm, one of the largest in Little Rock, never discusses clients’ financials. But she described Sissy’s Log Cabin, started by Sissy Jones as an antiques shop in 1970, as an “amazing company” and “a true Arkansas success story.”
Advertising insiders guessed that Sissy’s business might total as much as $500,000 a year, though much of that would be for media purchases.
