Lauren Frederick of Little Rock’s Haybar Real Estate hopes a Bentonville experiment pays off.
Frederick is optimistic the group will find success with the sale of a Bentonville office building it has put up for auction July 1 (after Whispers went to press). Haybar frequently participates in auctions as a buyer, but this is the group’s first foray into selling via auction.
Frederick said that normally potential buyers don’t get a chance to do much on-site research at auction properties, but Haybar held open houses at the 22,000-SF project at 5121 S.W. Runway Drive.
The property is listed for sale at $1.7 million with a $1.1 million reserve. Frederick said about a dozen potential buyers have toured the property during the first two open houses.
If the Bentonville auction is successful, Haybar would consider auctioning some of its Pulaski County portfolio, consisting of dozens of properties.
Haybar is led by Bryan Hosto, a Little Rock lawyer who specializes in commercial debt collection.
