Rev. Mackey Yokem, former executive director of the office of mission and ministry for the Arkansas Conference of the United Methodist Church, recently retired as a United Methodist elder and will join the staff of the United Methodist Foundation of Arkansas as grants administrator.
Yokem has served as executive director of Camp Aldersgate, senior pastor of United Methodist congregations in Gurdon (Clark County), Lonoke, Warren and Russellville and director of church relations at Hendrix College.
David Napier, CEO of Youth Home Inc., was recently appointed vice president of the National Association for Children’s Behavioral Health. NACBH works to advance the availability and delivery of services for children with emotional or behavioral disturbances and their families.
Leslie Rutledge, Arkansas attorney general, was recently honored as a recipient of the Foundation for Advancing Alcohol Responsibility’s 2016 Leadership Award.
The organization, which leads the fight against drunk driving and underage drinking, honors attorneys general across the country for their strong leadership in this area.
Rutledge, along with four additional state attorneys general, received the award during the National Association of Attorneys General Summer Meeting in Burlington, Vermont.
