Jeffrey Rand Set for Release from Federal Prison

1 min read

Speaking of Wild Wings, you might recall that 10 years ago a controversial figure exited the ownership picture: Jeffrey Scott Rand.

The now-convicted fraudster was forced to disentangle himself from the property he purchased for $4.4 million back in August 2002 using ill-gotten cash from swindled investors.

Jeff, 53, is a son of W.A. “Tony” Rand, formerly of North Little Rock. Tony and all five of his sons ended up in prison for oil and gas scams, mostly in Texas, that totaled $110 million. On Wednesday of this week, Jeff Rand will officially be released from the oversight of the federal Bureau of Prisons’ Dallas Residential Reentry Management field office. (He may already be living on the outside; Whispers wasn’t able to determine his exact whereabouts.)

Tony Rand, 75, officially finished his 66-month federal prison sentence in June. Tony was also sentenced to two years of supervised release, Jeff to three years after his 57-month prison sentence.
