A new firm is taking a data-driven approach to jury selection and litigation support in an effort to better engineer successful courtroom outcomes.
Ruth Whitney, CEO of the Little Rock-based public affairs firm inVeritas, announced the launch of Select Litigation, which will be based in Washington, D.C., and is designed to be a more precise method of guidance for jury selection.
Select Litigation combines practices from a variety of disciplines to offer what it is describing as a state-of-the-art jury selection service with proven success.
“Select Litigation was founded to focus specifically on jury selection and litigation support and to continue to provide the exceptional service to our clients,” said Whitney, who founded inVeritas in 2009, in a news release. “InVeritas has been doing this work throughout the country with significant success.”
Selection Litigation is built around its predictive, Integrated Selection Model that provides data-rich guidance for jury selection. The data components include community surveys, background research on jury pool members, custom-designed juror questionnaires, mock trials and focus groups.
Auxiliary services include witness background research, consulting on litigation and appellate strategies, argument preparation, exhibit preparation and review, and statistical analytics.
InVeritas will continue to focus on public relations, management consulting, government relations and market research. The Select Litigation staff members are versed in litigation support work in cases involving banking and finance, fraud, securities and white collar crime, among others.
“We use the most advanced research methods available to help our clients have a successful outcome in the courtroom,” Whitney said. “We pride ourselves in providing the most detailed information and sophisticated analysis, custom-designed for each individual client.”
