John Burgess, president of Mainstream Technologies Inc. of Little Rock, is the keynote speaker at this week’s 27th Annual Arkansas Small Business Awards Luncheon.
The event takes place from 11:45 a.m.–1:15 p.m. Thursday at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Little Rock. Sponsored by the Arkansas State Chamber of Commerce/Associated Industries of Arkansas, the luncheon honors recipients of awards presented by the U.S. Small Business Administration.

Among the award recipients are Victoria Washington, who the U.S. Small Business Administration has named the 2017 Arkansas Small Business Person of the Year.
Washington is president of Vision Information Technology (IT) Consultants LLC of Little Rock, which provides logistics and maintenance support for the military with experience working in remote, dangerous and austere environments. The company has 21 employees and reported sales of more than $3 million in 2015.
