Fuqua’s Jewelry Makes Move from Star City to Little RockLock Icon

Did you know a vacant bank branch in downtown Little Rock will be seeing new life come spring?

The former Allied Bank location at 1022 W. Capitol Ave. will house Fuqua’s Jewelry.

Michael Fuqua intends to do custom jewelry and repair work on a semi-retired basis, with an eye toward opening shop in March.

“We have so many Little Rock customers I’m afraid I’ll be busier than I intended,” Fuqua said.

In advance of the Little Rock move, he will be shutting down his Star City jewelry store at the end of a Nov. 7-Dec. 24 going out of business sale.

November will mark the 36th anniversary of Fuqua’s Jewelry doing business in Star City.

Fuqua and his wife, Daphne, acquired the Little Rock property before Memorial Day from Today’s Bank of Huntsville for $670,000.
