Mike Maulden
Mike Maulden, director of business and economic development for Entergy Arkansas, will retire at the end of January after 34 years with the company, CEO Rick Riley said Friday.
“He has been an incredible resource for our company and in turn, for the state of Arkansas,” Riley said. “His contributions to our business and economic development have been outstanding, including the successful recruitment of Big River Steel, which is now Entergy Arkansas’ largest customer and in the top five for the Entergy system.”
Maulden joined Entergy in 1984 as an industrial engineer. Since then, he’s held numerous positions primarily focusing on industrial customer marketing.
“The opportunities this company has given me are beyond anything I could have ever expected,” Maulden said. “I am forever humbled and blessed to have worked with such outstanding colleagues for the past 30 plus years. In short, it has been an honor and a privilege to have had the opportunity to contribute to Entergy Arkansas’ success and to the economic growth of Arkansas. I will miss every single person.”
As director of economic development, Maulden has led Entergy Arkansas’ economic development initiative, Teamwork Arkansas, since 1996. He’s earned such awards as the Bernard de la Harpe Community Service Award from the Leadership Greater Little Rock Alumni Association, Arkansas Business’ “40 under 40” and Arkansas Economic Developer Association’s “Outstanding Economic Developer for Arkansas.”
