Michael Stocker
Waterford Hotel Group announced Friday the appointment of Michael Stocker as general manager of the DoubleTree by Hilton in Little Rock.
The 288-room hotel is managed by Waterford Hotel Group Inc., a national hotel and convention center management firm.
In his new role, Stocker is responsible for all of the hotel’s operations, sales, administration and human resources. Most recently, he was director of operations at the Marriott Little Rock and the State House Convention Center.
Stocker began his hospitality career in the kitchen holding various positions and working his way up to executive chef at several well-known hotels and resorts.
After nine years, he made the transition from culinary posts to operations, serving as director of operations at the St. Louis Airport Marriott. Since then, Stocker has held numerous management positions, including assistant general manager, general manager, director of food and beverage and area director of food and beverage.
