Another Arkansas media fixture is signing off at KURB-FM in Little Rock. Lisa Fischer, who spent three decades as a TV journalist, radio personality and commercial pitchwoman, was set to do her last “Mornings With Lisa and Kevin” program on B98.5 on Friday.
She was on the station for 12 years, most recently with Kevin Idol, as co-hosts like Jeff Matthews, Chris Cannon and Jennifer Christman came and went. “I am weary of the 4 a.m. alarm; I want to do more things,” Fischer wrote in a post on her website, LisaFischerSaid.com. She plans to write more for AY Magazine, travel with her husband and spend time with her “very cute granddaughter.”
B98.5 listeners will still hear her commercials — she specializes in home improvement ads — and she’ll appear at special events. The “morning show will be known as something different, and I don’t know who’s replacing me or the name of the show,” she concluded.
