Rich Macy
Rich Macy has been named chief operating officer of USAble Life, an insurance company owned by a joint venture of independent Blue Cross & Blue Shield providers headquartered in Little Rock. In this position, Macy will oversee the company’s life, disability and worksite business, dental operations, technology and human resource functions. Macy has been with USAble Life since 2012.
Macy received his bachelor’s from Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut, and his Master of Business Administration in product and operations management from Columbia University in New York. He has worked at Automatic Data Processing, headquartered in New Jersey, as vice president of operations and vice president and general manager. Before joining USAble Life, he served as chief operating officer and chief information officer for Pension Benefit Guaranty Corp., a private-sector insurer of pension plans based in Washington, D.C. He joined USAble Life as senior vice president of operations and technology and was promoted in 2016 to executive vice president of operations, technology solutions and life and disability risk management.
