Mercy Clinic Northwest Arkansas
Doug Penner has been named chief operating officer of Mercy Clinic Northwest Arkansas in Rogers, a position he started on July 30. He joins Mercy as the organization undergoes an expansion, bringing with him 12 years of health care operations experience.
Penner, a California native, graduated with a bachelor’s in international studies and French from the University of Mississippi, a Master of Business Administration in finance from Indiana University and a Master of Public Health from the University of California, Berkeley. He worked as a practice manager and director of operations for Sutter Health medical groups in California before serving as chief operating officer for the Washington Township Medical Group in the Washington Hospital Healthcare System in Fremont, California, for two years.
He most recently served for a year as vice president of provider services for Elliot Medical Group in the Elliot Health System of Manchester, New Hampshire. He is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and the American College of Medical Practice Executives.
Nycole Oliver has been hired as a nurse practitioner at Sparks Plaza Family Practice in Fort Smith. She received her doctorate in nursing practice from the University of South Alabama and previously worked in the emergency room of Sparks Medical Center-Van Buren.
