Karen Brown of Bentonville has retired after 14 years as executive director of the Arkansas Newspaper Foundation, the nonprofit arm of the Arkansas Press Association. Her husband, Mike Brown, is a former president of Community Publishers Inc.
APA Executive Director Ashley Wimberley praised Brown for emphasizing the importance of newspapers to Arkansas students through paid summer internships for college students.
