Arvest Adds Another Address in Ashdown

Arvest Bank is opening a second office in Ashdown in a former Wells Fargo Bank location at 860 S. Constitution Ave.

The $18.4 billion-asset lender entered the Ashdown market last year through the $391 million purchase of Little Rock’s Bear State Bank. Arvest holds a 27.5 percent share of deposits in Ashdown, totaling $263.7 million. Four other lenders operate offices in Ashdown’s $102.3 million deposit market.

The deposit pie was divided among Regions Bank of Birmingham, Alabama, 32 percent share totaling $39.9 million; Wells Fargo Bank of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, 15.7 percent totaling $16.1 million; BancorpSouth Bank of Tupelo, Mis-sissippi, 8.4 percent totaling $8.5 million; and Diamond Bank of Murfreesboro, 4.8 percent totaling $4.9 million.

Arvest posted net income of $188.9 million last year compared with $143.1 million in 2017. The bank operates with 6,165 staffers in a four-state footprint with 134 full-service branches in Arkansas, 89 in Oklahoma, 53 in Missouri and eight in Kansas.
