Update: Two Little Rock Real Estate Firms Merge

2 min read

Winstead Properties and iRealty Arkansas have merged to form iRealty Arkansas-Commercial. It will be brokered by Brian Winstead.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Winstead has been licensed since 1982. He has broad real estate experience, in commercial brokerage, leasing, property management, development and investment. And he’s working now to obtain his CCIM designation.

“We are so fortunate that Brian has come to iRealty Arkansas,” Kristen Kennon, CEO of iRealty Arkansas, said in a news release. “His experience is just what we need to grow a commercial branch at our firm. Plus, he fits in perfectly with our positive, fun culture.

“We are so excited to become a full-service real estate organization offering both commercial and residential services to our clients with one stop convenience. This full service approach allows continuity of service with a better customer experience,” she continued.

This brings iRealty to 147 agents; six are commericial real estate agents. Winstead had previously employed three of those six at his firm.

Kennon told Arkansas Business becoming full service is her ultimate goal, and plans for another merger that will add property management to iRealty’s offerings are in the works. The firm has four offices and is set to open a fifth in Hot Springs next month.

About why she wants iRealty to be full service, she said, “For me, specifically, it’s so that I can take care of my clients no matter what their need is. … The big thing we really focus on at iRealty is making sure that the experience is awesome,” but that experience may be compromised when its clients are referred to an outside commercial real estate firm.

She also said her husband, Jon Kennon, has joined iRealty as a commercial agent. He has 12  years of experience in business-to-business sales.

Kennon met Winstead in June 2018; they’ve been talking about a deal since then.

Winstead told Arkansas Business that joining iRealty “gives me a lot of eyes and arms and legs on the ground” because he can let the residential agents know when he has a listing. Then the agents can ask their clients if they’re also looking for commercial property.

The combined company’s current realtors also include Rustin Glover, Dante Jacuzzi, Shawn Cozzens and Ron Whittaker.
