The Computer Hut LLC has acquired iTechs in Jonesboro.
Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
The company said the new location allows it to extend its information technology product and managed service offerings to northeast Arkansas and beyond.
The Computer Hut also has offices in Little Rock, Lowell and Texarkana, Texas. With the recent acquisition, it now employs 30 people.
“We continue to see a steady increase in ransomware and other such attacks across our client base, and we work every day to evaluate and implement solutions to thwart these attacks,” CEO Chris Bates said in a news release. “We’re thrilled to have the iTechs team join The Computer Hut to provide an expanded portfolio of solutions across Arkansas and Texas.”
The Computer Hut also provides cybersecurity and data protection products and services, focusing on health care organizations that need help maintaining HIPAA compliance.
