After 30 years at 10907 N. Rodney Parham Road, Black Angus is looking for a new home.
Karla Creasey, owner of the west Little Rock restaurant that uses charcoal to cook everything but its veggie burgers, said it couldn’t come to terms on its lease with Newmark Moses Tucker Partners of Little Rock.
So Black Angus will be out of the building by the end of March, if not sooner.
“I’m not bitter, but I’m understanding,” Creasey said. “They have a business decision to make, and that decision did not include me.
“And now I have one to make, and that’s to find another location” for the restaurant that’s been in business since the 1960s, she said.
Creasey said she’s scoping out locations in a 3- to 5-mile radius of the restaurant’s current address.
Black Angus has 19 employees, four of whom have been with the eatery for 20 years or more; several workers have been with the restaurant for more than 10 years. “We operate in a manner that we’re very proud of,” Creasey said.
“We were born in 1962, and we did not die in 2020,” she said.
