Madeline Pyle and Chris Hill
Madeline Pyle has been named director of communications at Lyon College of Batesville, the private college announced Tuesday.
Pyle, a 2015 Lyon graduate, joined the college’s marketing department in 2018 as associate director of communications. In her new role, she will co-lead the college’s marketing and communications office with Chris Hill, who was promoted to director of creative services. Hill will oversee branding, imagery and advertising; Pyle will direct public relations, internal communications and media relations.
A 2013 Arkansas State University graduate, Hill joined Lyon’s marketing department in 2015 as a graphic designer and was promoted to creative director in 2017.
“Lyon College is a special place, and I’m proud to continue to promote such an inspiring community,” Hill said in a news release.
Pyle added, “I am honored to have the opportunity to serve my alma mater in this capacity. Lyon holds a special place in my heart.”
Hill and Pyle will report to David Hutchison, vice president of advancement.
“In addition to helping our students mature and develop their skills, we also take time as a college to provide opportunities for our staff to develop as well,” Hutchison said. “I am pleased that we have a unique opportunity here to recognize a talented pair of team members, and make use of strengths we already have within our team.”
Founded in 1872, Lyon College is an undergraduate liberal arts college with more than 600 students.
