Metropolitan areas in Arkansas ended 2025 with rising unemployment rates, economist Michael Pakko noted recently on his arkansaseconomist.com blog.
That increase, however, has been “juxtaposed against a backdrop of employment growth that is slowing in some parts of the state but continuing to expand in other areas,” said Pakko, chief economist and state economic forecaster for the Arkansas Economic Development Institute.
