1 min read

Officials showed off new progress on the $70 million renovation of the Robinson Center Music Hall, a 25 month project set to be complete in November 2016.

The gutting and remodeling of the historic performing arts venue adds more backstage space as well as storage and improved acoustics. In July, the city of Little Rock marked the one-year construction milestone on the $70 million project.

In September, officials announced that “Phantom of the Opera” would show at the theater, something that would not have been possible prior to the renovations.

Then, on Thursday, the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra announced that its biggest fundraiser, the Opus Ball, will take place in the Robinson Center’s new ball room in Nov. 2016.

The ASO is in the midst of a $7 million fundraising campaign.
