There’s more executive transition coming to USA Truck Inc. of Van Buren. CFO and Executive Vice President Michael Borrows resigned from the firm on Thursday.
“On behalf of the entire company, we would like to thank Michael for his service to the company,” USA Truck CEO Randy Rogers said in a statement. “We wish him all the best in his future endeavors. The board will commence a process to identify a successor to Mr. Borrows.”
Then-CEO John Simone picked Borrows to Cliff Beckham as CFO on Sept. 23, 2014 after Beckham announced his resignation. Borrows had held finance and accounting leadership positions for 14 years at Kansas City Southern and BNSF Railway and was senior vice president and managing director at Pollen Inc. before joining USA Truck.
Beckham worked at USA Truck for 20 years and was CEO from 2007 to 2013 when he was replaced by Simone. Beckham returned to his previous role of CFO to aid Simone’s transition; Simone died of lung cancer March 24.
In 2015, his last full year with the company, Borrows was paid total compensation of $608,000, which included $225,000 in salary, $123,178 in stock awards and $175,668 in incentive plan bonus. He earned $182,435 for the three months he worked in 2014.
