Patrick Weeks recently accepted the position of president and CEO of the U.S. Marshals Museum in Fort Smith, replacing Jim Dunn, who will now focus solely on fundraising.
As a recognized museum professional, Weeks was offered the job to lead the design, construction and opening of the museum, which is expected to open in 2018.
“We are extremely pleased to offer the job of president and CEO to Patrick Weeks,” said Circuit Judge Jim Spears, chairman of the museum’s board of directors. “He has the vision, leadership and experience needed to build on Jim Dunn’s success and guide the museum through this important stage of development and beyond.” Weeks will begin work on July 1. Weeks has more than two decades of experience in the creation and operation of guest experiences and programming for museums, science centers and theme parks. He is currently the principal of Strategic Experience Solutions in Ohio, and has also served as vice president of Roto Group LLC and vice president of operations and guest experiences for the Arizona Science Center.
Weeks graduated from California State University, San Bernardino in 1995 with a degree in theater.
Bruce Jones, assistant gaming manager at Oaklawn Racing & Gaming of Hot Springs, was recently promoted to gaming director. Jones joined Oaklawn as director of gaming technical maintenance and became assistant gaming manager in 2012.
