Zips Car Wash of Little Rock acquired four Carbux Car Wash locations in Jacksonville, Florida, on Dec. 6, bringing the total number of locations it operates in nine states to 59.
Of those, 44 were bought in 2016, and that represents record growth for Zips.
Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
Chairman and Founder Brett Overman said in a news release, “Our growth in 2016 has surpassed our initial goals for the year and has made us the third largest chain of car washes.”
Zips also said it plans to continue to grow its footprint in Jacksonville, Florida, and offers an Unlimited Wash Program in which customers pay a low monthly fee for frequent car washing. This program will be available at the new locations.
