1 min read

Tyson Foods Inc. of Springdale said Tuesday that Doug Ramsey has been promoted to president of the meat processor’s poultry operations.

Noel White, the former poultry leader who is now Tyson’s chief operations officer, announced the promotion.

“His extensive experience in the poultry industry, his focus on operations excellence and his ability to build strong teams are the right skills to guide our poultry business in the future,” White said in a news release.

Ramsey had previously served as a senior vice president in the poultry business unit, managing foodservice national accounts, retail fully cooked Tyson branded products and the school lunch program.

Ramsey joined Tyson Foods in 1992 and has served in both domestic and international roles in multiple business units, according to the company. He earned a bachelor of science in agricultural business from Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia.

White was promoted to COO in February, part of a larger change in the upper ranks of the company’s management team.
