G. Gene Crawford II, who had been CEO of First National Bank of Crossett, has returned to his hometown to succeed Robin Brock as head of trust services at Citizens Bank of Batesville.
“Robin Brock and Gene Crawford established the Citizens Bank Trust Department, and initially worked together to provide trust products for bank customers,” CEO Phil Baldwin said in a press release. “Under Robin’s direction, the Trust Department continued its growth, becoming one of the twelve largest Trust Departments in Arkansas. With Robin’s recent retirement, Gene Crawford returns to this important position to help guide our success into the future.”
Crawford was a vice president and trust officer at Citizens from 1985 to 1994.
He is a native of Batesville, a graduate of Lyon College in Batesville and of the MBA program at Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia. He is an honor graduate of the National Graduate Trust School at Northwestern University in Chicago, where he received the Certified Financial Services Counselor designation. He also earned the Certified Employee Benefit Specialist designation from Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
