Maurice Rigsby has been appointed vice chancellor for institutional relations at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock.
Rigsby, an attorney, joined UAMS as a government relations liaison in 2014 and was promoted to assistant vice chancellor. He succeeded Cherry Duckett, who retired July 1.
Jake Sligh has been hired as chief marketing officer for Rock Dental Brands of Little Rock after five years as director of marketing and digital sales for Arkansas Business Publishing Group.
He has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia and a master’s in internet marketing from Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida.
Dr. Gene Graves announced last month his retirement as CEO of SCA Pharmaceuticals of Little Rock, the sterile compounding company he founded in 2010. He will continue to serve on SCA’s board of directors. No successor has been announced.
Before founding SCA, Graves served as the president and CEO of I Care of Arkansas, a provider of home medical equipment.
