The Lasiter Group of Little Rock announced Friday plans for a new multifamily development, the Villa View at SoMa, in the 1300 block of Scott Street in Little Rock.
The multimillion-dollar, 31,264-SF development will be in the South Main area of Little Rock. It's expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2018.
The project includes two three-story buildings and 35 apartment units, with fenced, gated and security features for pedestrian access and parking. There will be 11 units with two bedrooms and 24 one-bedroom units.
The complex will face Scott Street, but be bordered by 13th Street and Daisy Bates Drive, as well as an alley between the site and Main Street. Ground-floor units will have entrances facing the street sides, porches of varying sizes and configurations and walkways connecting to the adjacent sidewalks.
The Lasiter Group is a holding company of Thomas Lasiter, president of the Doyle Rogers Co., and his son, Ryan Lasiter. The Lasiter Group will hold the development's ownership entity, Scott Street Investments LLC, which is led by Thomas Lasiter.
"I have always felt compelled to invest in the downtown area of Little Rock, and South Main, known as SoMa, is especially an area of the city that has become a very attractive area for an exceptional residential lifestyle, a place to work and a place for dining and entertainment," Thomas Lasiter said in a news release.
The project is financed by First Community Bank of Batesville. Central Construction Group is the general contractor. AMR Architects is the architectural and design firm.
