Unemployment Rates Trend Lower in Arkansas

The unemployment rates in most of Arkansas’ metro areas continued to move downward or stay stable in June, with Fayetteville, Jonesboro, Little Rock and Texarkana seeing declines. The rates remained unchanged in Fort Smith, Hot Springs and Pine Bluff, while Memphis saw a slight upward bump.

Compared with the statewide unemployment rate of 3.5%, rates were lower in Fayetteville (2.5%), Jonesboro (2.8%) and Little Rock (3.1%).
