Wednesday was Kim Lane’s last day as CEO of The Conductor in Conway, a public-private initiative of the University of Central Arkansas, Startup Junkie of Fayetteville and the Central Arkansas Venture Team focused on supporting entrepreneurship and innovation.
She joined the organization nearly three years ago.
Jeff Standridge, managing director of The Conductor, told Arkansas Business that Lane resigned to pursue other opportunities. He also said, “We certainly wish her the best. … As it stands, we are a better organization because of everything that she has done for The Conductor, and the whole team is pulling for her to be successful and hopes she is.”
Standridge said the organization is in early discussions about next steps, but the plan right now is existing staff will share Lane’s responsibilities and additional people may be brought in as needed.
