Jacob “Kade” Holliday’s property sold at an auction last month for $782,000.

Holliday, the former Craighead County clerk who allegedly embezzled more than $1.6 million from taxpayers, filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy liquidation in October, listing $3.8 million in debts and $1.6 million in assets.

Wooley Auctioneers of Little Rock handled the online-only auction of Holliday’s nearly 350 items.

The auction had 537 registered bidders, according to a filing in Holliday’s bankruptcy case. Holliday’s real estate sold for $608,000. The property that fetched the highest price was a building at 1900 Aggie Road in Jonesboro. The former home of the Edge Coffee House & Eatery sold for $332,000.

Holliday’s personal property grossed $174,000. His 2018 Cadillac Escalade, which had 38,000 miles on the odometer and “runs & drives,” sold for $47,000.

Wooley’s commission for handling the sale was $71,000. And the proceeds delivered to the trustee totaled $295,000.

In addition to the bankruptcy, Holliday has federal charges hanging over his head. In December, he was indicted in U.S. District Court on 11 counts of federal wire fraud for allegedly taking more than $1.4 million in county money for his personal use. He is scheduled to be tried in federal court on Oct. 18.
