Hiring for Amazon's distribution centers in North Little Rock and the Port of Little Rock is set to begin in late May, with expected starting dates in mid- to late summer, the e-commerce giant announced Monday.

Amazon is working with the Little Rock Regional Chamber to host two virtual information sessions and one drive-thru job fair to share details on the warehouse jobs, the hiring process and benefits.

According to a chamber website, the full-time jobs pay $15 per hour. Benefits include a tuition assistance program, stock awards and an employee discount. Medical benefits begin on the first day of work.

The two information sessions will cover the same information and are scheduled for 6 p.m. Thursday and 9:30 a.m. Friday. The drive-thru job fair is set for 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday at the Little Rock Workforce Center at 5401 S. University Ave.

Registration for the sessions is available here; applicants can sign up for text notifications about Amazon jobs by sending LTRNOW1 to 77088.

Prospects will be applying for warehouse jobs at Amazon's 825,000-SF fulfillment center at the Little Rock Port and a 1 million-SF non-sortable center near the Galloway exit in North Little Rock. The port facility will employ more than 1,000 full-time workers; the North Little Rock operation will create around 500 jobs.
