Tyson Foods Inc. of Springdale said it fired Chris Langholz, the president of the company’s International division.
Tyson Foods announced the move in a filing with the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission on Monday. The firing happened Aug. 26 and was effective immediately, the company said in the filing, which had no further information.
Langholz earned total compensation of $5.3 million in fiscal year 2021, according to the company’s proxy statement filed with the SEC this past December. His compensation included an annual salary of $642,000.
A Tyson Foods spokesman said it was company policy to not comment on personnel issues but did confirm Langholz was no longer employed by Tyson Foods.
