Tyson Foods Inc. of Springdale said Brady Stewart would be the company’s group president of its Fresh Meats division beginning in 2023.
Stewart will replace Shane Miller, who has been with the company for 30 years. Miller served in various executive positions, including COO and group president of Fresh Meats, out of the company’s Dakota Dunes office in South Dakota.
Stewart joins Tyson Foods after five years at Smithfield Foods, where he was chief operations officer. Before that, Stewart served in various executive roles at the Kansas City Sausage Co., including COO.
“Brady is a well-respected, proven industry leader who will help position us for continued success,” Tyson Foods CEO Donnie King said. “His background in building business strategies that drive outcomes and identify efficiencies across complex supply chains is critical for this role.”
Tyson Foods said Miller would help with the transition with Stewart and the company’s OneTyson relocation plans that will bring the executive teams from three satellite offices to Springdale beginning in 2023.
“The reputation of Tyson Foods and its products are world renowned, and I am delighted to be joining the team to help drive growth and deliver for its customers and consumers,” Stewart said. “I look forward to help strengthening the company’s competitiveness as OneTyson by accelerating innovation and streamlining operations.”
