Dickson Flake Firm Takes Stake in Colliers International

2 min read

Little Rock-based commercial real estate service firm Dickson Flake Partners Inc. said Tuesday that it has become a member of Colliers International, a global partnership of independently owned commercial real estate firms.

The affiliation becomes effective Jan. 1. After that, the company will change its name to Colliers Dickson Flake Partners and will adopt the Colliers logo for its letterhead, Web site and property marketing signs.

Partner Dickson Flake said Tuesday that his firm bought a stake in Colliers to get the affiliation. Ownership of Dickson Flake Partners has not changed. Flake said he didn’t know the amount of his company’s stake in Colliers.

Flake said his firm has been seeking an affiliation with Colliers for about five years. He said Colliers doesn’t usually partner with firms in markets as small as Little Rock, but that Dickson Flake Partners’ reputation among other commercial real estate firms in the region caused Colliers to make an exception. Colliers finally invited the firm to join its affiliation this year.

Flake told Arkansasbusiness.com that the affiliation with the worldwide firm will extend his firm’s reach and expand what services his firm can offer.

“We believe the Colliers affiliation will allow us to serve clients with an even deeper base of investment and tenant relationships, industry expertise and other industry resources,” Flake said.

Colliers’ affiliates have 8,684 employees in 247 offices in 50 countries. Worldwide, Colliers’ affiliates manage 618.4 million SF and have revenue of $995 million.

Dickson Flake Partners employs 64 and manages about 7.6 million SF of commercial real estate. The firm was formed in 2003 when Barnes Quinn Flake & Anderson and IBR Real Estate merged. The new firm offered real estate consulting, brokerage, property management, development management, acquisition and disposition.

Principals in Dickson Flake Partners are Flake, Kevin Huchingson, Phyllis Glaze, Gary Jones, Nolan Rushing, Tom Rystrom and Mark Bentley.
