David Glass Buys Kansas City Royals

1 min read

David Glass, the recently retired CEO of Wal-Mart Stores Inc., was given approval last week to buy the Kansas City Royals baseball team for $96 million.

The Mountain View, Mo., native made his fortune helping Wal-Mart become the retailing giant it is today. Glass has been on the board of directors of the team since Royals founder Ewing Kauffman died in 1993.
