The Arkansas Department of Energy & Environment intends to award up to $7.67 million in grants to reduce nitrogen oxides emissions and encourage the development of alternative fuels infrastructure within the state.
The department’s Division of Environmental Quality will begin accepting applications here on May 1 for the Advanced Bus and Clean Transportation Program, which is funded by the Volkswagen Settlement fund. The application deadline is June 30.
