USA Truck Inc. of Van Buren continues to make changes to its leadership structure, terminating chief financial officer and executive vice president Darron Ming at the end of 2012.
Ming was fired after 15 years with the trucking company. His termination, official on Dec. 26, came less than two weeks after Thomas Glaser was named interim COO of USA Truck (Nasdaq: USAK), which reported a 2.3 percent decline in third-quarter revenue, a loss of $6.1 million. The company reported $14.4 million in losses during the first nine months of 2012.
USA Truck reported Ming’s firing in a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. J. Rodney Mills, the company’s general counsel, has assumed the role of executive vice president.
Ming filled several roles during his time at USA Truck. He began with the company as an accountant, according to TheTrucker.com. Ming was paid $234,548 in 2011. No total was available for 2012.
According to a separate filing with the SEC on Dec. 26, Ming forfeited 20,021 shares of stock in USA Truck. He still owns 9,407 shares.
USA Truck did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
