94.9 Goes From Big to Hot

Radio station KHKN has updated its format in more ways than one, shifting from late 20th-century oldies to current hit music, rebranding itself as HOT 94.9, All the Hits. The station, one of nearly 850 owned by iHeartMedia nationwide, had been known as Big 94.9 since late 2015.

The last song on Big 94.9 on March 11 was “So Far Away” by Dire Straits. The first song in the new format, which will feature artists like Justin Timberlake, The Weekend, Kendrick Lamar and Imagine Dragons, was “Finesse” by Bruno Mars.
