Kansas City-Based Academy Bank Expands to Arkansas

1 min read

Academy Bank, a $2.9-billion asset lender based in Kansas City, Missouri, has expanded to Arkansas with the opening of a branch in Rogers.

The 1,700-SF branch is located at 4301 S. JB Hunt Dr. in The District, a mixed-use development. The branch offers a full range of personal, business and commercial banking services.

Academy Bank has more than 75 locations in Arizona, Colorado, Kansas, Arkansas and Missouri. The bank is privately held and family-owned by Dickinson Financial Corp., a $4.4 billion holding company in Kansas City.

“We’re proud to open our first branch in Arkansas and bring the latest in community banking innovations to the dynamic Rogers and Northwest Arkansas community,” Kristian Holt, business development manager at Academy Bank in Rogers, said in a news release. “As a family-owned, community-focused bank, banking is more than a financial transaction to us. Banking is about building relationships and strengthening the communities we serve, and we look forward to doing that in Rogers.”

Academy Bank’s sister bank, Armed Forces Bank of Leavenworth, Kansas, serves active and retired military and civilian clients with more on-base locations than any military bank in the country.
