Acxiom Sponsors Forge Institute Fellowship for Veterans

1 min read

Acxiom LLC of Conway is the first corporate sponsor of the Forge Institute’s Fellowship program that trains veterans to work in the cybersecurity industry.

The fellowship leverages the U.S. Department of Defense’s SkillBridge program, which helps service members bridge the end of their military careers with return to the private sector.

“The expanded partnership with Acxiom significantly enhances the offerings of the Forge Fellowship,” Scott Anderson, Forge Institute executive director and retired service member, said in a statement. “The collaboration not only provides our fellows with access to a global leader in the tech industry, but it also symbolizes the shared vision of our organizations to support veterans in their professional journeys.”

The partnership will allow fellows to gain access to Acxiom internships and potential employment opportunities. Scott said the hands-on experience is “pivotal” for participants, providing “real-world challenges” while fostering “meaningful connections within the cybersecurity and digital community.”

Acxiom will also advise the Forge Institute on curriculum for the fellows and other professional development opportunities, Acxiom said in a news release.

“With Acxiom’s expertise and industry leadership integrated into the Fellowship’s program, we can make sure veterans receive the most relevant and up-to-date knowledge needed for their success,” Janet Cinfio, Acxiom chief information officer, said in a statement.

The Forge Institute works to advance cyber capabilities through public-private partnerships.
