The Arkansas Development Finance Authority expects to close on its purchase of Verizon Building 4 at One Verizon Drive in Little Rock by the end of next month, Spokesman Derrick Rose told Arkansas Business.
The agency’s board approved a resolution (PDF) in December to spend up to $26 million on the building and its parking lot, then use the property for “office and administrative purposes.”
Rose said no decisions have been made yet about who will move into the six-story, 303,355-SF building that was constructed in 1995 on 17.47 acres.
Building 4 is one of five buildings that make up the 700,000-SF complex, which was once the headquarters for Alltel Corp. News of this sale follows Verizon’s announcement last year that it would transition 600 employees from its call center at the complex.
