Ted and Leslie Belden met on a trip to Italy with what is now known as the Fay Jones School of Architecture & Design at the University of Arkansas. They married one year after both graduated. Leslie is a life-long Arkansan while Ted, born in Minnesota, has been a resident of Arkansas since 1974.
The Beldens split their time between central and northwest Arkansas. Ted is the chairman of Lomanco Inc., his family’s business located in Jacksonville. Leslie serves the Presbytery of Arkansas as its temporary stated clerk. Their primary residence is in Fayetteville, where they are partners in Old Buildings Inc.
Through Old Buildings, the Beldens have invested in the revitalization of downtown Fayetteville and the renovation of contributing historical structures such as the Inn at Carnall Hall on the UA campus.
Leslie and Ted Belden have served on various boards and commissions, many tied to the fields of architecture and historic preservation, faith-based organizations and in particular, the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville.
