A.J. Anglin
A.J. Anglin has been named interim vice president for academic affairs at Arkansas Tech Unviersity. He will assume the position Jan. 5.
Robin E. Bowen, president at Arkansas Tech, said Anglin will serve in the role for 18 months with a permanent leader beginning around July 1, 2016.
“[Anglin] shares our institutional ethic of serving a diverse community of learners and providing each student with access to resources that will help them persist to graduation,” Bowen said in a news release.
Anglin has more than 40 years experience in higher education. He was most recently vice president of academic affairs at Missouri Southern State University from 2010-12. He held the same position at Waynesburg University in Pennsylvania from 2003-08. He was also president at Trinity Christian College in Illinois from 1996-2002.
Anglin, a Siloam Springs native, replaces John Watson, who has held the role since 2008. Watson’s last day in the role is Dec. 31. He will return to full-time teaching in the spring semester.
